Another passing of a loved one on 1 Dec 2010,

all her children and grand children all make it to her

bedside in the hospital to bid her farewell.

Her last word to me was she want the company of her

loved ones to be round her and her wish was granted.

All of us will remember this old lady of 82 years in our memory

Life's small pleasures

In this hectic and buzzle life of KL, escpecially during peak hours
normally, I tends to rush and seldom give way to people.

Yesterday for a change of my "hati", I was the MR NICE.
I stop my vehicle for people to cross the road, and give way to
cars turning into the main road.

I polish my "PLEASE" and 'THANK YOU" to everyone .

Readily, lending a hand to my colleagues, and wait
for others at the lifts

PATIENCE was written on my face .

and..........

I find that I received more wave of hands, salutations, smiles
and TQssss back.

and I also felt life's small pleasures in return.

LUNCH

While makaning at the wai sek kai in SS2 at lunch today
2 leang lui came to share our table.

At first, Miss A came from the economy rice section
with only just a small portion of broccoli, taufu and a piece
of fried egg and Miss B with a bowl of cold leng chee kang.

Wah !!!...ll eat so little, dunno fill which part of the stomach likedat
(~~~ me and my kaki were thinking~~~)

Thim chee, 10 minutes later came a big plate of
sweet sour pork rice for Miss A, and followed by
Miss B's order of chee cheong fan of RM6.80 AND
popiah.

Suddenly, my wantan mee's portion looks like chicken feed,
and my buddy's Penang char keow teow like diet's portion.

HahaaHaa....
move over Siao Jeh, here come Tar Jeh !!

Today, i encountered what you could say
looks don't match the personality and

Mr. LUNP (look you no up) came and aiyooo....
so blady arrogrant, that if the BOSS is not there
NOBOBY is around lidtat. He sees no one , with
his nose so high high up in the air.

A BITTER PILL TO SWOLLOW

During the recent holidays, I bumped into an old

friend of mine, Charles. Lookwise he is as macho as

before, except somehow he had lost his cheerful

disposition and replaced by unhappiness.

Charles and Emily were schoolmates. They

became close when they were pursuing the

same course in Australia.

After graduation, back to Malaysia, Emily work

as a Bank executive and became his girlfriend.

Charles got more buzy as after obtaining his

MBA degree, he took charge of of his father's

business as he is the only child.

Both were at their peak in their careers, and had

less time with each another. Emily at the encouragement

of Charles, went back to Australia and took up her

MBA degree. 2 years later, she came back with not only

an outstanding achievement but also a new boyfriend, Eric.

The world is so small. ERIC, CHARLES and EMILY were
once upon time same pre uni-mates.

Over drinks, he told me the above story and at the end

of it i felt maybe his case is like what some chinese people

believe. Previous life, i owe you, now i have to repay it.

Food makes people do crazy things

Wakaka..... talking about food always make me hungry...

I am sure many of you hear of guys tah-pau-ing hokkien mee to
Singapore but have any of you heard of people bringing
in food from there ???

I got this one-kind food-crazy fren who did just that.
He popped over there last week for some work, came home
during the weekend and called me up darn blardy
early on Sunday morning.

"MCC, u taken your breakfast anot?"

"Haiya, why u kacau so early? Notchet la, u wanna belanja ar?"

"I got surprise breakfast for u, i come over now."

"Hah? Now ar? Ok, ok, better be something good for me to get up so early."

I was expecting nice dim sum , or some special homemade
breakfast, or McD breakie ... mana tau...... Alamak !!!!!
he drove 20 km from his house to mine , just to gif me
'chuey kuih' he brought all the way from Singapura (Tiong Bahru).

I look at my breakfast (above pic) ... i laughed.
(So seow wan tis fren of mine, got ppls more sot than me ler !!)
Appreciate his effort and thoughts but the breakfast
is way beyond my imagination.... kakakakakaka

Taste Not bad la, the "choy poh' very unique .
As for the chillie paste, wah lau, very hot but
i likeeeee verrryyyyyy mucheeeeeee!!!

Now, tat i know he like this kinda kuih, i will bring
him to Section 17, PJ to taste our local style,

No need to travel so far also can find good food mah !

People got no jobs ... complaint (got to find $$$)
Those people working .. also complaint (money not enough la..
work macam robot, too much stress and very unhappy).

When to stop working la ???.... i was just wondering
when I got this in my mail this morning.

WHEN TO STOP WORKING ?

A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman
that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area
as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land
he has covered.

Sure enough, the horsemen quickly jumped onto his horse an
rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could.

He kept riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as
possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because
he wanted to cover as much area as possible.

Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he
was exhaused and was dying.

Then he asked himself, "why did I push myself so hard to cover
so much land area?

The above story is similar with the journey of our LIFE
We push very hard everyday to make more MONEY, to
gain power and recognition.
We neglect our HEALTH... TIME.... FAMILY,
FRIENDS, and to APPRECIATE the surroundings beauty

One day, when we look back, we will realize that we dont really
need that much, but we cannot turn back time for what we
have missed.

WORK is only necessry to keep us living so as to enjoy

VOICELESS & SAYONARA

Losing one's voice is such a scary thing.
I woke up one morning, and called out
but no sound totally no voice
ARRRGGGHHHH... what happen, what had gone wrong?
must be the two icy ribena I took before I pop into bed

I called office to inform of my absence, just to have
the line cut off by my usual babbling receptionist

Oh gosh, I tried on the direct line, also receive
the same treatment to have my line disconnect
right away by my colleague.

Next I called the leang lui secretary just to
get a stern warning dun kau kau chan (dun play play)
she thought was an obscene call,
I laughed and felt anguish at the same time,
then I sms her and she called me to verify,
apologised and also laughing her head off....

That was three days ago, today I was back in the
office, and to my surprise the leang leang lui
secretary confide to me that she is tendering her
resignation soon, and intend to leave us
before X'mas.

She is leaving for greener pasture, I should be
happy for her, but somehow we have a close
work rapport that her resignation was a surprise
as well as I find it difficult to let go.

She was the first person I met, when I came for
my interview and had been friendly and
helpful. Introduced me to the rest of my braddy
bunch in the office.

Eventually, everyone will be sad to hear the news that she is
leaving. Perhaps, all of us have accustomed to her face.
Her leaving will definately leave a void in the office.

DILEMMA

Sigh..... life is precious...

Grandma was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
The poor lady is already 81 years old.
After going for consultation, and hearing the
explaination of the doctor, she was against to
undergo the chemo and treatment but some
members of the family are for it.

So much commotion, arguments, anxiety, stress
and crying on the part of the old lady.

Grandma is in a dilemma. How do you interpret
the word BEST ?
She thinks she wants to enjoy and make
the best of the remaining time of her life, but
some members of the family, insist that the
best, is that she undergoes the treatment.

Both also, want the best out of the situation.
Indeed a dilemma ....

Past week, i fell sick...
My rare visit to my family friendly doc, had a long
lecture of taking care of my health worr...

1) Breakfast
I normally have a quick bite at the local mamak down
the road from my office before going in to work...
my favourites are a packet of nasi lemak or roti canai
washed it down with tea tarik or nescafe.
Doc : Did you know that nasi lemak or roti canai are one
of the most unhealthy food to indulge in ? you should have
it replaced with milk , or take oatmeals and high fibre bread.

2) Lunch
As we can phone to order our lunch from the nearby
kopitiam, for me would be fried rice, roast pork rice
or mixed rice.... i not fussy when comes to food.
Doc: Variety is of utmost importance. Instead of staying
cooped up in your office, take a drive or a walk for new
place to eat. Lunch break is to re-energise yourself for
another 4 or more hours block of work.

3) Dinner
Usually after work , when out with friends is the best
time to indulge and be merry in new restaurant or
fast food chains or gluttons corner.
Doc: Try to avoid Western dishes, since most of the
food portions are large.
Avoid 'crispy' or ' crunchy' on the menu. That means
the item was fried in fat. Terms like 'creamy' ,
'sauteed', or 'braised' have hidden calories too.

AND
also try to avoid supper . At night, your body does not
need much energy, so anything extra that you eat,
the body stores as fat.

Me: waaah d0C........ life damn sienzzz lidat lorr.....
Tis cannot eat .... AND Tat cannot take ... !!!

Doc: Moderation is everything. After all the food
you consume in the day is needed to pull you through
the day.

Remember that how you take care of yourself
is like how you take care of your car. In the long run
the good engine car last longer, otherwise it will
soon be overhauled

Me: Ok , okie doc, ... thank you la..
but, that nite i join my buddies for hokkien mee,
lobak, satay, fried oyster, ikan bakar for dinner and
then adjourned to karaoke with beer together with chips.

I was told of this story in a seminar.

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together
to visit their old uni professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and
life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and
returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups made
of Porcelain, Plastic, Glass, Crystal, some ordinary looking, some
expensive, some exquisite.
He told them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in their hands, the
professor said:
"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up,
leaving behind the plain and cheap looking ones, While it is
but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that
is the source of your problems and stress.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you
consciously went for the best cups and worse, you were
eying each other's cups.

Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society
are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain. Life, but the
quality of life does not change. Some times, by concentrating only
on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it."

Today must put a notation in my blog wan...

I feel so good today, one of those day you feel that you are
blessed. hehheeeee....

Early in the morning, so hungry arrive at office. The minute
I step in , I was greeted by my team mates and was offered a
very special oriental nasi lemak prepared by my staff's mum
it was so ... yum YUMMMY !!!

Next, I work way pass lunch time. My colleague called in to
enquire whether I need to tarpau or not , as they are now
having super duper lunch with a client down town.

My nonchalant response "OK and TQ" was rewarded with
a sumptuous lunch of "sang har yee mee"... Ho HO CHIAK !!!

During breaktime, one of my Branch Manager happened
to drop by for meeting and brought my department
spicy PIZZA and IKEA hot curry puffs ..... WOW !!!

I was without transport, as I sent my car for service.
The Branch Manager so kind as to wait for me and offer
to give me a lift home, even though he has to detour
from his normal route.

NOW I am home at the dot of 6pm.

Today I no nid to spend any money on food at all ... now counting
how much i save leh ? but the bestest is

KAKAKAKAKA... I am so loved wan !!!.... everybodi worry I get enough
to eat wor ?? Is it becos I am too thin, too hensem and good body ...
they want to make me roly poly and no more good looking ???

This morning after washing my car, I took my breakfast.
After i pan leang jai already, whistling and getting my
car started "POp, SPLAT" ....... a pool of bird shit
landed on my front windscreen on the right side.

Oh Noooo... i just had by car cleaned spotty and shinny.
I got out and wiped it off. Ok now nice and smarty again.

I went back, and start my car and was looking for a nice CD
to play then i witnessed "pOp pOpP.. splat splat splat"
another pool of bigger bird shit landed on my front windscreen
again, ..........this time on the left side.

Since it's new year and i am still in my lovely dovey
valentine mood , keeping my patience in tact, I got up and

This year no new year celebrations for me.
In a matter of a week, I lost 2 loved ones.
My uncle and grandpa. Life is so unpredictable
and so fragile at times. They are gone and no return.

When I remembered those times we shared, the many
Chinese New Years' family get together, many "yum seng"
on many happy occasions and chats we shared
makes me very sad indeed.

1 cut the cucumber, 1 wash the tomatoes, 1 fry the chips,
1 cook the 'yat peck yeh' and 1 fry the I dunno what what.....

see how much work to prepare a meal?

now..... who get top marks for the above job so well done.... ???
dun judge the looks and it was not 'yat peck yeh'
but rather it was the cooks' food of labour, humour and laughter.

I saw this in my hotel room. Nothing great compare
to the one in Putrajaya, but FIREWORKS nevetheless.
We " Yaammmm Sennnnnggg" to a better MALAYSIA !!!

After the holidays, i felt much rejuvenated and a sense of THANKFULNESS.

.. am healthy and fine

.. had a good time with family and frens. Very rare
occasion like this, as always, everyone is so buzy

Jack of ALL Trades

My first job was working in an orange juice factory,
but I got canned - couldn't concentrate

Then I worked in the forests, as lumberjack,
but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe

After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't
suited for it mainly because it was a so-so job

I wanted to be a barber, but I just couldn't cut it

Next was a job in a shoe factory, I tried but I just
didn't fit in

I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance
company, but the work was just too draining

Next I found being an electrician interesting, but the
work was shocking

So then I got a job in a gym and work-out centre, but they
said I wasn't fit for the job

My best job was being a musician, but I found
I wasn't noteworthy

I become a professional fisherman, but discovered that
I couldn't live on my net income

So, I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn't
have any patience

Eventually, I quit from all those jobs, retired and be a SLO
(shake leg only) and finally become a MASTER !!!

Take A Break .....

Have to take a break from blogging, lots of catching up to do.
Got assigned new undertakings and projects to finalize for the
third quarter of the year.

Healthwise, not favourable. Got a bad round of flu, followed by
fever off and on , since last Wednesday.
First time, i experience migraine attack and gosh..... feeling so shitty.

Under doc's order into strict diet of oat meals and light food.
No milo, kopi and tea.
No spicy, oily, fried and chillies stuffs
No cold drinks and beer.

The weather changes also unpredictable. One moment so blinking hot
and next it rained non-stop.

For the time being, going to take things one at a time....
take a break from gym, blogging and net surfing.
take a break from mamak sessions and yam cha
take a break from karoke and nite life

back to school momentum.....
sleep early and rise early .....
more rest and relax

Till then....................ADIOS !!!

HOLIDAYS

Had been out of the blogosphere world for awhile. Had a hectic time
recently. Down to Singapore for HR workshop back to KL and off to
Pulau Pangkor for my Company's trip.

Before I could unwind, some family members arranged for the school
holidays to Kuantan to visit the turtles sanctuary and the lovely
beaches there.

Journey back home was tiring. Spent long hours driving all the way
from Cherating to KL , rest for few hours and then adjourned to
sent some of my relatives back to Johor.

Now nursing a throbbing headache, nasty flu and body aching all over.

Holidays are meant to be rest and relax, but mine was an exceptional
one. Suddenly, my schedule was so jammed packed with so many
activities but guess the experiences and quality time spent with the
family made it all worthwhile.

Wow! dun know what shitty luck i got into lately
I had a fall not once, but TWICE in one day ....
you said 'jialat' onot?

Last week "seven early eight early" morning was
awaken by long and loud blasting of the car horns,
damn !@#%&*()__+!$%^**())#$$@... apparently,
it was my neighbour's BIG day.

As i couldnt sleep again, so i went for jogging. Just round the
corner, trying to avoid an old couple strolling along the footway
i didnt notice the patch of ice cream and spilled drinks, lost my
balance and had quite a nasty fall. Dun know, how i landed
sideways into a "longkang" ... (drain). I bruised my knee and
luckily when my head hit the grass spot, there were no stones or
hard objects on the ground, otherwise i see "stars" only.

A good samaritan helped me home. Took some painkillers and went
to snoozeland. I woke at noon time feeling hungry. Mum and the
rest of my family were not home, everyone had their own "agenda".

I went to the kitchen to cook maggie mee, instead i slipped and fell
ploink on my butts this time. AIYOO..... NOT AGAIN !!!!!!
WHAT THE F**k!!!! //@#$%!&*~@#&^ !!!!! ... KNN ...

I am in pain from head to butts !
Somebody's BIG day but it was surely not mine !!!

My family members came home from Canton, last weekend.

5th Uncle (UN 5) gave a big announcement and caught everyone
by surprise. He got a marriage proposal from one of the village girl.
OMG..... and he is even contemplating of going to marry her, despite
the unanimous opposition.

UN 5, is already in his early fifties, works in a factory as a Supervisor.
Thought, he had no more chemistry until he met this Ah Ying.
She works in the farm and does home handicrafts for a living
and have dreams of living in the city.

On the eve, of his departure she proposes to UN 5,
for marriage and would wait for his good news.

UN 5 is attracted to her, talk to the family and is serious
consideration of marrying her. ALAS ... what ???
All in, a 12 days romance. Malaysia Boleh concept har ?

WOW !!! ... if this is going to happen, I bet there will be a
sequel to it. Chapter 1, 2, 3 ...... and so forth.

Dunno whether this is happy news or not, but for the time
being, everyone are having HEADACHES.......

Yesterday, a team of 6 members of the family left for
Canton, China for "Ching Ming" (CM).

I joined them for breakfast, prior to their departure
and while having the "dim sim" ......

3rd Uncle : Do you think, we need to buy some of those
joss sticks and prayers stuffs for CM prayers over in China?

3rd Aunt : No need kua.... all the luggage already been
packed nicely, veli troublesome if to re-pack it

Eldest Aunt : No wor.... I think better buy some.
The last time, the CM prayers' stuffs brought from
there not so good quality geh.

(Heavy debate on the topic amongst the round table
of 12 people, finally discussion were made. 8 vs 4.
Majority wins. )

They detoured to get CM stuffs, inclusive of
joss sticks and candles and paper monies
lots of it, in various denominations.

In the car, heading to the airport

cousin : Wuah ... you all having so much $$$$$$...
How you going to declare the type of currencies
and the big amount you bring out of Malaysia ???
and if spot check on the luggage finding all
these "prayer stuffs"?

we cross the bridge when it comes !!
maybe what we see, they dont see leh.

True to uncle's words, in the evening, i received
an SMS from him saying no hussle, things went smoothly
and they have safely arrived in Canton.

Felt very hard pressed lately. Work is taking alot of
my time, upgraded to new systems but met with
many teething and fine tuning problems.

Recently, grandpa's health not very good and i was
assigned as official "chauffeur" to make quite
frequent weekend trips down south.

At night, as soon as my head touches my pillow,
i am totally knocked-out, dead tired man.

Work and family come first. So I'm taking leave
from my blog for a while.

Let me tell you a story.........

Once upon a time, a young trainee management graduate was
assigned to the Marketing Dept for in-house training. There he met
a young pretty secretary. On Valentine day, she got bouquets and
bouquets of flowers from her many admirers and boyfrens. Then,
to the trainee's astonishment, he noticed that she threw away some
of the bouquets in the rubbish bin at the end of the day.

He thought to himself, I will never send fresh flowers to any gals,
it is just a sheer waste of well earned monies.

As times goes by, this young man met his true love on valentine day.
To celebrate their love and anniversary of the day, he wanna make
it special and declare that she was his tue love, and the trend is that
people say it with flowers... how then ???
aaahh ....... he went on a shopping spree and struggling to find the
most appropriate gift to her........FINALLY, HE FOUND IT ....
it was a stalk of deep red rose made of plastic which came in
a lovely gift box.

It is not that his love was artificial and not real. This gift goes along
with a pledge that their love will not die and go on forever.

Many moons passed until today, this flower is like their everlasting
love - still resting and displayed in their love home.

There it goes..........true love stand the sands of time.

The moral of the story is :
No flowers also nevermind, let's enjoy and celebrate with

TESTING MY PATIENCE

Recently, i find that my patience is wearing out.
Ever since i switched over to the new blogger account,
i began to encounter the many problems that were
highlighted by some of the bloggers in the net.
Maybe, now making its round here.

In life, endurance is also put to test again and again.
For instance, going to work ....... exercise great patience in the
lunatic crazy traffic lately.

Being chauffeur to my mum dearest to Petaling Street over the
weekend to get her new year groceries is another 'TEST" of my
patience and my temper almost reached boiling point. You know,
the elderly are very fickle minded. First, she said wanna go to
PUDU market, then when you almost reach there, she changed
her mind and asked to detour to PETALING STREET
coz got more varieties there ! Arrrggghhhh......

To the doc, as i wasn't feeling too good . Down with a nasty flu.
The clinic was so blardy cold and checking in at 8.45am got only
to see the doc at 11.30 am for less then 10 minutes.
No appointment allowed unless for follow up cases.

Then, wanna write a post, but the blogger thingy required user to
shift to new Blogger. Mamamiya !! After doing it, encounter so
many problems. I can't login to blogspot, can't access to other
bloggers blogs as well, errors here and there. Can't access my own
and other blogs to comment.... darn frustrating.

DOMINATING GALFRIEND

I bumped into my ex-colleague Chan, and was exchanging
news and catching up with one another, when he informed
me that he is in a dilemma with regard to his relationship with
Tracy, his galfren of 2 years. I had met Tracy last year at
Chan's birthday party.

She is a dominating, aggressive and a great achiever too.
She holds an MBA, and works as an insurance adjuster,
previously a banker.

Smart gal, good talker, is the limelight and socialized well.
Chan further added that he noticed she can talk on any topic
under the sun. Some people just got this gift of the gab.

For instance, first time to his parents' house, not timid and shy
more like very liberal, speak freely and call out to every uncle
and auntie, making small talks to his other relatives who are
practically strangers to her.

Chan said OMG.......... she doesnt give me any space to breathe.
Last Christmas, they went to Hongkong with some friends.
She takes up all the attention, no room for him to talk to others ,
coz before he can speak up.... all being said by her.
How can you explain that kinda feel that even in the company
of your friends you felt as though you are being left out in the cold?

Most importantly, she doesnt make him tick with excitement
when she enter the room. Not that she is unattractive. In fact,
she is pretty, dresses well, live up to all occasions. Many envy Chan
but he feel no spark or yearning , just an acknowledgement that
she is around.

Can this kinda relationship survive?... If now is not getting
better, i doubt it will change if settle down as husband and wife
later.

Chan says that he is thinking of a breakup soon, is that a
good decision or not?

JOB INTERVIEW

Three old kawans Gopal, Raja and Manjit went for a job interview.
Before the interview the three was asked to do a short test.
They have to construct simple sentences in English using the three
colours of the Company logo: GREEN, PINK and YELLOW.

Gopal:
Every Sunday, I wake up and prepare 'yellow' rice for breakfast
and eat it with 'green' curry. After that I watch 'Pink' Panther on TV.

Raja:
Every Sunday, I wake up and fry eggs for breakfast and I love
the 'yellow' yolk. I eat 'green' vegetables and I say to myself ,
I want to be in the 'pink' of health.

Manjit:
Every Sunday, I wake up when I hear the puttu-mayam man
'green- greennnggg' his bicyle bell. So quickly, I 'pinnnnk' some money
from my mum and call out to him " 'Yelloooooh!' Two puttu-mayam please ! "

Guess who got the job ?
